I like taking complicated product problems and turning them into software that is simple to use and holds up in the real world. That means working across frontend, backend, databases, APIs, infrastructure and the product decisions behind all of it.
Most of what I've built has gone into production and stayed there: a food delivery platform running in Hong Kong in three languages, a HIPAA-compliant healthcare product, a short-video app that passed 770,000 downloads, a WhatsApp-native AI assistant for small businesses in India. The domains keep changing, but the job does not: work out the real constraint, build something that fits it, get it live, then stick around and look after it.
That last part matters to me the most. Launch day is where the interesting problems actually begin: the build that only breaks on one Android OEM, the payment webhook that quietly retries, the schema you regret once there are 100,000 rows in it. Looking after my own code after release is what changed how I write it beforehand.
I'm now looking to do this inside a product team, where the work builds on one system over time instead of starting over on the next project.
